Happy Holiday Season!

Dear Reader,

Does your holiday season include a moment to reflect on the year gone by?

I’d like to share some of my favourite memories of the year — and thank existing and new readers for their wonderful support and feedback. Also, a sincere ‘thank you’ to my brilliant support team.

March 2023 was a big month with the publication of Girl With A Vengeance, the final book in my trilogy, Daniela’s Story. Its publication followed quickly on the heels of my first two books released the previous year: The Girl From Barcelona (2nd Edition) and Girl On The Run. It was thrilling to see all three books completed and out on the bookshelves and displays.

Throughout the year, a highlight was the opportunity to meet so many new readers and fans of the Daniela series at book signings, book clubs, and local author events organized by the wonderful and dedicated people at our local libraries and bookstores.

You, the readers, are the most powerful friends and allies of emerging authors. It’s you who buy our books, read them, and send in your reviews. Word-of-mouth is a vital link in the chain.

May I share a quick anecdote? It’s a true story. In November, I was delighted to hear from two good friends — former neighbours I hadn’t been in contact with for several decades. They’d been given the first two books of the trilogy by a reader who loved the story. They were astonished (and excited) to see that I was the author. We’ve since had a lovely reunion of happy reminiscences. That’s the power of word-of-mouth recommendations.

More of my books are in the pipeline. I’m planning a monthly blog in the new year, starting with some of the questions and themes readers have requested.

In the meantime, to book lovers around the world, I hope you have a fun-filled, healthy, happy and inspired 2024.
